Degrees of Geek

Another goofy quiz: turns out I am a total geek, not to be confused with the geekier major, super or extreme categories. Seems on the mark. And, go figure I missed some items as well. That whole following directions issue plagues me from time to time.

I thought I was a stealth geek (http://www.swcp.com/~diamond/sg-faq.html), but, no, I too am Total.

Not a bad test, actually -- covers a broad range of geekish fields. Though several questions (especially knowledge questions) are gimmees for an ex-physicist.

10.05917% - Geekish Tendencies
Not even close, but does it count that not doing well made me feel bad?

It seems I fall into the Extreme Geek status. I am not sure whether this should amuse or terrify me. Moreover, I think my wife knew this before we married. I am very sure that it amuses her.

Hmph.

Another total stealth geek here.

They do cover an impressive range of types of geekiness.

The librarianship thing and a weird past ended up pushing me into super geek.

I tend to spend time on hands-on pasttimes (gardening, house repairs, quilting) which aren't classified as terribly geeky, although they all focus on how things work. Which, like computers, is why I enjoy them.

19% - Geek. How dull. And the adolescent academic competitor in me is disappointed not to score higher, whatever the test is.

I was pleased to see that the quiz didn't assume that your occupation and interests were exclusively technical or science fiction-related. Sounds like there's some actual sociology in there.
