Tide is Turning

The lovely new Cisco routers have arrived, and I can start focusing on the websites, now that I have freed up machine to build them on. Bit by bit desktops and the backend is being improved and made more reliable. The march of progress goes forth. Huh? Well, it just means that we can build a DMZ so I can safely relaunch webservers for starters. And get the VPNs back up for people.

If It Weren't for Bad Luck

I'd have no luck at all.

Been hacked at work. Rebuilt many systems—some better done than others&mdash, ran into the evilness of revitalizing Exchange. While slow, I could see progress, but in the interest of quick results, the organization opted to install Suse Linux OpenExchange, a very sweet and easy setup. Until it too was utterly hit. Nothing like watching an entire 36 gig hard drive fill up in a day. And ruin a very happy machine serving up email to smiling faces.

So now on to a hardware firewall and rebuilding everything again.
